Alicia’s Great Ideas…
Come Dance with Me!
Dr. Linda Quinn, Professor of Dance at TCC, has invited us back this year to participate in their annual Spring Recital! A few things have changed from last year. The practices will be held at TCC NE campus, dress rehearsal, and recital will be held at Richland Highschool. The auditorium holds a larger group, so there will only be one performance this year. A permission slip will be going home with all interested students this month and must be completed and turned in prior to the first practice. There be be no transportation provided by CRWM since this is an activity outside of school hours. Feel free to carpool if you live near someone else participating. Please mark your calendars for the following important dates:
Practices: Fridays-April 1, April 8, April 15, April 22
Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, April 28 at 7:30
Performance: Friday, April 29 at 7:30
Feel free to contact Alicia Jones at 817-917-5530 if you have any questions.
Special Event!!
An Ice Artist is coming to make an ice sculpture just for us on Thursday, March 24th at 10:30. If you are a student who attends classes on Thursdays, we will enjoy the program in the morning, then have lunch and regularly scheduled classes in the afternoon. For those who don’t attend Thursdays, we would love for you to come. This would be a perfect day for a make-up day. Please let Cylinda know if you plan to attend. You don’t want to miss out on this special morning at CRWM! We hope to see you there.
Alert !
Come Read with Me policy for school closings:
During inclement weather, please be aware of the local school closings in your area. If the district in which you live will be closed, please don’t try and make the drive. If the HEB school district is closed, we will be closed as well. Because we serve such a large area, we must pay attention to a broad area as road conditions may vary greatly. (Remember, we also have to go up and down a hill to get to and leave the school.) Not sure? MK’s home phone#817-283-4114.
I will send out an email early on days we deem it best to close. Let’s stay safe!
BTW, often on bad weather days I spend the day sending interesting things to read or games to play on the computer for those students who choose to participate.
